Amount: $2,170.00
Scope: Assign professional materials testing and special inspections services for “Garage Deck Temporary Shoring at Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy”. The inspection shall include, but is not limited to, the inspection of the grout, posts, beams and anchors.
RFP 420-23-04 for the proposed work was issued on August 31, 2023 to the two firms who were awarded the inspection contracts. As a result of the examination of the responses, it was determined that Tectonic would be the best suited for the project. |

Resolution
|
WHEREAS by Resolution 18.15 dated July 21, 2021, the Board of Education authorized the award of Contract 2022-0364 to Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists and Land Surveyors, D.P.C., and Contract 2022-0363 to Advance Testing Company, Inc., for an amount not to exceed $500,000.00 each, for a 24-month contract, and
WHEREAS by Resolution 15.4 dated September 20, 2023, the Board of Education extended Contract 2022-0364, and Contract 2022-0363 for an additional 365 calendar days, and
WHEREAS work under this contract is needed by the District for the inspection of the grout, posts, beams and anchors of the shoring system at Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists & Land Surveyors, D.P.C at a cost not to exceed $2,170.00. |
