Term: No change in contract term
Amount: $8,553.75
Scope: Change Order 1 for Bid 7148, “Vinyl Asbestos Floor Tile Abatement” at Patricia A. DiChiaro School in the amount of $8,553.75, increasing Contract No. 2025-0089 to $193,083.75 with no change in contract term.
Change Order Proposal COP-A, B & D are for owner directed extra work and includes adding painting to Patricia A. DiChiaro School’s cafeteria and classroom walls and door frames and Labor & Material Bond which were not included in the bid documents. This work is in the amount of $22,017.50.
Change Order Proposal COP-1 is for unforeseen condition requiring patching of plaster walls after removing asbestos cove base. This work is in the amount of $1,536.25.
For Change Order 1, the total amount is $23,553.75, less a contract contingency of $15,000.00, requires a contract change order in the amount of $8,553.75. |

Resolution
|
WHEREAS via resolution 18.20 dated June 18, 2024, the Board of Education authorized the award of Contract No. 2025-0089 for Bid 7148 General Construction Contract for the “Vinyl Asbestos Floor Tile Abatement” at School 5, Patricia A. DiChiaro School, Museum School 25 and Montessori School 31 to Milburn Flooring for $184,530.00 and a term of 180 calendar days, and
WHEREAS additional work is required for the “Vinyl Asbestos Floor Tile Abatement” at Patricia A. DiChiaro School in the amount of $8,553.75 of which is increasing the contract from $184,530.00 to $193,083.75.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to issue Change Order 1 to Contract No. 2025-0089 for “Vinyl Asbestos Floor Tile Abatement” at Patricia A. DiChiaro School to Milburn Flooring, for the amount of $8,553.75, increasing the contract amount from $184,530.00 to $193,083.75 and no change in contract term. |
